[ Tai Kwun Conversations: Discover the Story of Lu Pan, The Patron Saint of Carpenters]

Lu Ban (Lo Pan), a clever carpenter who lived in the 5th century BC, has been venerated by carpenters and other craftsmen as their patron saint for many centuries. Many stories about his miraculous inventions exist, and his temples were meeting points for building workers and their guilds all over China. Even if building technology has radically changed, he is still held in high esteem among building workers and other participants in the construction industry today.
