劉斯奮(1944-),廣西省梧州市人,祖籍廣東省中山市,1967年畢業於廣州中山大學中文系。近二十年來曾先後擔任過廣州市文化局副局長、廣東省新聞出版局副局長、廣東省委宣傳部副部長、廣東省文聯主席、廣東畫院院長、廣東省政協常務委員等職務。主管廣州市及全省文學藝術工作已多年,無論在小說創作、古典詩詞、學術研究以及繪畫書法等領域中,均有深厚的造詣及卓越的成就。他的長篇小說《白門柳》獲中國作家協會第四屆茅盾文學獎、廣東省第二、第四、第六屆魯迅文藝獎。

Liu Si Fen – Hakka walled village

Biography:

Liu Si Fen was born in Wuzhou, Guangxi, China in 1944. He graduated from the Department of Chinese from the Sun Yat-Sen University in 1967.Over the past twenty years, he has served as the Director of Cultural Bureau of Guangzhou, Deputy Director of the Press and Publication Bureau of Guangdong Province, Deputy Head of Propaganda Department of Provincial Committee of Guangdong Province, President of the Federation of Literature and Arts of Guangdong Province, Director of the Guangdong Picture Gallery and an executive member of the Political Consultative Committee of Guangdong Province, the PRC. Mr. Liu has been administering the area of literature, arts and culture in Guangzhou city as well as the whole Guangdong province for many years and this proves him great success in the intellectual and cultural circle of the country. His novel “White Gate Willow” was awarded in the 4th Mao Dun Literature Prize, and in the 2nd, 4th and 6th Lu Xun Literary Prize by the Chinese Writers’ Association. Mao Dun Literature Prize is one of most prestigious literature prizes in China first awarded in 1982. Mr. Liu’s expertise includes not only in literary works that cover novel writing, classical poetry and prose, but also in art works like Chinese painting and calligraphy, as well as academic research. Mr. Liu is an all-round scholar and artist of high attainments.
